Non- linear, my career path taught me more about the human condition as I wanted to understand each person who crossed my path: what brings us joy, causes for derailed dreams, sickness, careers, marriage, family life, neurodivergent minds, trauma. There is a seemingly endless pattern of uniqueness in each of us.
I started my career in the arts and after several years returned to school to earn an M.Ed, with a focus on international education. Post graduate work led me to a local nonprofit, while also having the privilege to serve on the Board of Directors of an international, medical nonprofit.
These experiences, coupled with a love of education, relocated me to Qatar to work for Carnegie Mellon University. I built bridges between the collegiate and corporate sectors with regards to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and development of community engagement programs.
Each of these stops on my career path allowed me opportunities to see people from a different perspective, one, oftentimes quite different than my own. Desiring to understand the deeper fundamentals of us as humans, I returned to earn my M.Sc in Applied Neuroscience from Kings College London, as well as earning a certificate in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and facilitator for the SSP program based on Dr. Porges, Polyvagal Theory.
Through my journey as an educator, consultant and entrepreneur, I have counseled many who have desired changes in their life. Books, diets, relationships, and therapy have left them still desiring more, with no real, lasting change to show for their hard work and financial investment.
Harnessing the incredible power of the mind through understanding science, psychology, and the wisdom of many others, I assist those seeking real, lasting change in their life.
My technique is different, but different is good; especially when 'normal' has left you without desired results.
